Kitagawara

A simple sukiya style of tea ceremony room in Japan, design by architect Atsushi Kitagawara. Light enters in through two sources: through a crumpled and shaped screen of handmade paper over the window, and folded lengths of paper pasted over bamboo sticks to modify the ceiling lights. The sunken square hearth in.floor is for the iron kettle. Tokyo.
