Padaung woman
Padaung woman, Moephyie village, near Loi Kaw, eastern Burma. Women from this ethnic group wear coiled neck rings and leg rings made of brass. The neck rings, which are increased in length as girls get older, push down the clavicle and shoulder blades, causing deformation and an apparently longer neck. This is considered beautiful in Padaung culture (a branch of the Karenni ethnic group)
