Hashimoto House
Living room in a house in Setagaya, Tokyo, designed by the owner, designer Yukio Hashimoto. The aim was to combine privacy with openness on a small plot, achieved by a decked courtyard onto which the living area opens fully, with high exterior walls to block the view of the city surroundings while allowing maximum exposure to the sky. The living area, seen through the glass wall that partitions it from the staircase, with floor and furniture in chestnut specifically designed for the house.
