Bulmash house
A 17th century calligraphy scroll by the famous scholar-artist Fu Shan, who transformed Chinese calligraphy, hangs over an Eight Immortals’ Table, or baxianzhuo in highly prized zitan wood. Zitan is a rare and very dense tropical wood of the rosewood family. Square tables in this simple design, the dimensions of a cube, are named after the Eight Taoist Immortal Beings (Xian).
