Hardy House
The Hardy House, near Ubud, Bali, overlooking the Sayam Terraces. Designed by Malaysian architect Cheong Yew Kuan in collaboration with the owners, John and Cynthia Hardy. The design, inspired by Iban long-houses in Borneo, has a wide frontage on two floors, making use of a variety of natural materials, recycled wherever possible. The bed is made of recycled ironwood and teak, with mosquito netting made of material normally used for straining tofu.
