Kubo house
House in Habikigaoka, Kansai, Japan, archietc Akira Sakamoto, with garden design by Toshiya Ogino. The white minimalist style is complemented by sparse and highly sculptural plantings. A small garden behind glass in the entrance area contains a hand-carved stone water basin, a mound of moss with softened, irregular edges set in gravel, and Oriental paperbush.
