Tanaka house
A modern interpretation of a Japanese tea-ceremony room in steel and glass projects out over a contemporary pond garden at a house near Osaka, designed by the architect-gardener partnership of Chitoshi Kihara and Yasujirou Aoki. The pebble beach and granite rocks represent a miniature landscape of forest-clad mountains rising from an ocean. Shoji screens are used to provide a controlled view from inside the tea-ceremony room. Also included the "frog" stone.
