Shwezandaw Pagoda
One of the most revered pagodas in Burma after the Shwedagon, the Shwezandaw Pagoda ("Golden Pagoda of the sacred Hair Relic") rises on a hill above the town of Pye (Prome), north of Yangon on the Irawaddy River. The 60m-high gilded pagoda is surrounded by a wall of 83 small stupas.
