Apsara with mirror
Bas-relief of an apsara, a celestial dancers who entertains the gods, on a gallery wall at Preah Khan, Angkor. The temple, which was also a Buddhist university with over 1,000 teachers, and the centre of a small city, was built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century, dedicated in 1191. This stupa was added later, in the 16th century.
