Qinghai musicians
A troupe of musicians and singers, the Dan Ge’er Qu Yuan, play for visitors to Dan Ge’er, an hour’s drive west of Qinghai’s capital Xining, was a Cha Ma Shan Du, a Tea Horse trading centre, set up by the Song government. Destroyed during the Cultural revolution, it has been completely rebuilt from scratch as a tourist attraction, and opened in 2009. The girl sings of the beauty and history of the town.
