Turquoise stone, Tashilhunpo
Turquoise stone set in floor of entrance of the Kudhung Lhakhang, Tashilhunpo, the largest monastery in Tibet. Founded in 1447 by the first Dalai Lama, Tashilunpo belongs to the Gelugpa, or 'Yellow Hat' school of Tibetan Buddhism.
