Concrete Hallway
Entrance featuring a wide central stairwell of a modern Japanese house in Japan. The foreground steps, edged in red, lead down to the dining room. Created by architect Ryoji Suzuki, the tactile and visual exposure to the building materials is an essential part of his design philosophy. Suzuki was also responsible for key pieces of furniture, including the striking steel and wire chair in the entrance hall.
