Ryogotei
Ryogotei garden, design by Masatoshi Takebe, is one of the largest private gardens in Japan. It was created for a client who wanted toenjoy a western-style profusion of colourful flowers, while retaining some of the basic traditions of Japanese garden design. A kutsunugi-ishi, or stone for removing shoes, traditionally set in front of the entrance to a tea house or any traditional tatami room.
