House with external frame
A modern Japanese house with external steel girders in Setagya, Tokyo, Japan. Designed by architect Shigeharu Isaka, the inside of the house composes of an open structure in steel and glass, with mezzanine floors connected by a spiral staircase. On the outside, the bold terrace supported by diagonal girders give the residents a privileged position on which to view cherry blossoms close to the house.
