Izumi
The Izumi House, Takamatsu, Shikoku. A granite house with exposed steel ceiling trusses built by its owner Masatosh Izumi, stonemason, sculptor and close collaborator of sculptor and artist Isamu Noguchi. Allthe stones and boulders were hand-picked over a period of years by Izumi, collected from the Aji quarries. The lanterns are Noguchi's Akari light sculptures, in mulberry paper and bamboo strips.
