Mori House
A tatami room with a curved wooden ceiling and low aperture lined with galvanized steel in a modern Japanese home in Mihara, Kanto, Japan. Design by architect Chitoshi Kihara. A thin vertical gap aligned with the edging between two tatami mats allows daylight to enter and becomes a design element in its own right.
