Drying umbrellas
The village of Bo Sang, near Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, is famous for its production of traditional hand-painted paper umbrellas, here drying in the sun. Fitted with wooden handles the umbrellas have ribs of bamboo and a covering of oiled rice paper.
