Tatami platform
A semi-circular tatami platform inside a Japanese house. Designed by architect Michimasa Kawaguchi, it abuts a tiny exterior garden space with sliding paper-clad shoji screens on both sides. The space can be configured so as to open out onto the garden, or onto the living and dining room with its open-plan ktichen. .
