A family tea pressing and packing operation in Yiwu, one of the tea-collecting towns on the Tea-Horse route, on one of the six historic tea mountains in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China. Despite efforts to regularise tea production, processing and pressing takes place all over tea mountains like Yiwu, and at different levels of quality. Here, a family prodcue cheaper brick tea for the lower end of the market. Yiwu, as its name suggests, was settled largely by members of the Yi ethnic minority, as well as Han traders.
