Stonehenge aerial
Aerial view of excavation at Stonehenge, April 2008. Archaelogical dig at Stonehenge, the first in almost 50 years, by Professors Timothy Darvill and Geoff Wainwright, 31 March to 11 April. The purpose is to date the first structure at the monument, which used the special 'bluestones' that were transported some 250 miles from the Preseli Hills in Wales.
