House in Ikedayama, Tokyo, architect Junichi Sanpei. Its courtyard style is designed to integrate the interiors with nature, around a central maple tree, with rows of bamboo at the rear of the proprty and a plum tree in the corner. Additionally, there is a small roof garden of green lawn, and full-length glazing for rooms facing inwards.
