Dege Scripture Printing House, Dege, Sichuan, China - the library of carved wooden printing blocks.

One floor of the library is taken up with the collection of woodblock sutras, stacked in shelves with their handles facing outwards. The official number of the collection is 270,000. The blocks are in three editions according to size, the longest being the ‘arrow-stick’ (60-70cm, the length of an arrow).
