Calligraphy room of a modern Japanese house in Tokyo, Japan. Designed by architect Shigeharu Isaka, the house comprises both a traditional and modern quarter. The calligraphy room houses traditional elements, such as the lintel-like ranma carved as an openwork landscape and also idiosyncratic touches such as the asymmetrical wooden inlays in the ceiling.
