A 140-year old tea house in Banqiao, a small town on the Southern Silk Road and Tea Horse Road, in western Yunnan, China. Run by the Wan family (grandfather opened it). The price of a pot of tea (green Puer tea) is 0.5 yuan. When the owner is not there, villagers make their own and leave money in a box. The tea house actually makes more money from selling boiling water than tea, because the owner provides the tea more as a social service for the old people than to make profit. It is at is busiest between 1200 and 1400 each day. The old stone road runs through the town.
