Sudanese oil workers operate a Chinese oil rig in Sudan. Oil production is concentrated at Heglig, south of the Nuba Mountains. On a Chinese drilling rig at Simbir West -3 (above), a new section of pipe is added, with the well already down 2354 meters after twelve days of drilling.
