Kuan Fujimori

This peculiar tea-ceremony room, with the name Kuan, was designed by Terunobu Fujimori. The tea house is supported on the forks of an old chestnut tree. A ladder at right provides access through a floor hatch. Stepping stones lead across a dry-stone garden, under a fanciful, moss-covered arch, to the small tea house in the far corner. Kyoto, Japan.
