Kangding

Kangding, Sichuan, China. This much-reduced corner of old buildings in the centre is now all that remains of the old town, which in Tibetan is known as Dartsendo. Kangdning’s strategic position at the junction of the Zheduo and Yala Rivers just before they join the Dadu, gave it considerable control over the tea trade, which was here managed by brokers known as Guozhuang.
