Gentry House
The Gentry House, near Ubud, Bali, overlooking the Sayam Terraces. Architect Cheong Yew Kuan. The house exploits its tremendous hilltop view over rice terraces with the siting of the main buildings and a large reflecting pool containing a massive boulder. Timber and adobe are used extensively.
