Lushi old man
Lushi, an old town on the Tea-Horse route, in the hills north of the Mekong, near Fengqing, southern Yunnan.
A 72-year old inhabitant living on the steep cobbled street that carried the Tea Horse Road through the centre of town. A significant proportion of the population are from the Yi ethnic group, and the town’s original name, A Lu, means simply ‘small town’ in the Yi language.
