Holy island
Holy Island from the Northumberland coast in northeastern England. The island, on which stands Lindisfarne Castle (built in 1550 with stones from nearby Lindisfarne Priory, an early centre of Christianity founded in AD 635) is cut off from the mainland at high tide when its causeway is submerged.
