Ai Wei Wei House

Artist and self-taught Architect Ai Wei Wei desgned and built his home and studio.The compound of buildings was designed as avariation on the traditional Chinese courtyard house, the austere brick buildins are surrounded by high walls. Inside, space is divided into an art studio, an office and large central living area. A large garden is used to display some of the artist larges artworks.
