Asia Gate House
Asia Gate House, a seaside house in Okinawa, Japan. Designed by architect Tetsuo Goto and owner Amon Miyamoto, the principle widely applied is of Shakkei, or ‘ borrowed view’ (one of the boldest techniques in the tradition of the Japanese garden). The tide ebbs a long way in this shallow bay, therefore allowing a change in views throughout the day.
